La intensidad de una vida bien vivida
"La intensidad en la vida de una persona, no depende de la rapidez de las acciones; depende de la precisión de las decisiones."
— Dr. Alfonso Ruiz Soto
I’ve been thinking a lot about this quote lately.
In a world that glorifies hustle and constant movement, this idea lands like a deep breath. A reminder. A redirection.
We often confuse movement with meaning. We fill our calendars, say yes to too much, rush from one project to the next—because somewhere along the way, we were told that doing more is the same as living more.
But it’s not.
La intensidad—the richness, the depth, the substance—of a life doesn’t come from how fast we move. It comes from how clearly we choose. And what we choose.
There’s a difference between reacting and deciding. Between urgency and clarity.
When I look back at the most meaningful shifts in my own life, they didn’t come from doing things faster. They came from making the kind of decisions that felt like alignment. The ones that said this is who I am—even when they were uncomfortable. Even when they took time.
Precision isn’t perfection. It’s intention. It’s pausing long enough to ask:
Is this aligned with my values?
Will this choice bring me closer to who I want to be, or pull me further away?
Is this mine to carry, or someone else’s urgency?
We don’t need to rush to matter. We don’t need to move fast to make a difference.
We just need to decide with heart.
I’m learning to trust the stillness between movements. To protect the space where precision lives. Because that’s where the real intensity begins.
