The Most Important Time Is Now
I learned something in a leadership training in October 2024 that has stayed with me.
Three simple questions. Three powerful reminders.
When is the most important time?
Now.
Because it’s the only time you have any real control over.Who is the most important person?
The person you are interacting with.
Not the next meeting. Not the email waiting in your inbox. The person in front of you, right now. What is the most important thing to do?
Do your best to serve the person you are interacting with.
That doesn’t mean fixing everything. It means showing up fully—with presence, intention, and care.
This teaching grounded me. It reminded me that leadership isn’t about what comes next. It’s about how you show up now, for who is in front of you, and how you serve them.
It’s simple. But not always easy.
